About Catherine Ruth
Philosophy of care
I believe health and well-being include different priorities for each patient and involve not just our physical but also our emotional, mental and spiritual lives. I bring a strong belief in listening and shared decision-making to all my patient interactions and work hard to use evidence-based medicine to help patients achieve their health goals. Why I entered medicine
Becoming a doctor offered me a great way of combining my love of connecting with people, listening to their stories, learning new and interesting things, being challenged regarding my views and beliefs, and helping people any way I can.Community involvement
I am new to the area and excited to learn about local community work and organizations! Previously I enjoyed being part of public health/vaccine outreach, community exercise classes and local book clubs.Personal interests
I love anything that gets me outside – running, biking, hiking and camping. I love growing and cooking good food, reading and talking about books, and traveling to new places. Medically, I most enjoy lifestyle medicine/counseling, women's health, Suboxone/MAT treatment and palliative care conversations.Education
