Valley Health Partners
Welcome to Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP), a new health center that includes eight community clinics located at 1627 W. Chew St., Allentown, Pa.
Valley Health Partners
As of July 1, 2020, the eight 17th Street clinics have become part of this new organization, Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP), with the intention of becoming designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) “Look-Alike” early this year. An FQHC Look-Alike receives enhanced federal reimbursement to expand core services such as comprehensive primary care, dental and mental health/substance abuse in addition to enabling services which include interpretation, transportation to appointments, and health education.
What is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike?
A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike is a community health center that provides comprehensive primary care and other services such as interpretation, transportation and health education for the community population. An FQHC Look-Alike does not turn patients away based on their ability to pay and removes financial barriers for receiving care. FQHC Look-Alikes receive enhanced reimbursement from Medicaid and Medicare to provide whole-person care, creating opportunities for the health center to look beyond medical care and focus on social determinants of health that could be some of the underlying causes of poor health.

VHP is taking every step possible to keep you safe.
We guarantee same-day appointments, virtually or in person, and have measures in place to protect you:
- Our care team, staff and providers have their temperatures taken before every shift.
- You must wear a mask over your nose and mouth unless you have a medical reason for not being able to do so.
- We will screen all patients and visitors for symptoms of COVID-19 when you come into our clinics.
- Our waiting rooms will be used sparingly due to social distancing needs. We promote social distancing by spacing out seating in waiting areas.
- You will see our team cleaning and disinfecting all areas regularly.
We recommend video visits for care that does not require an in-person appointment.
